C1 Hartop Headscratcher

I started restoring the Hardtop for my 61 and in removing the curved stainless at the bottom of the top where it meets the deck I found some badly rusted metal pieces that will need to be replaced. They are thin metal bent to match the stainless interior and exterior pieces. Any ideas on where to find such a thing?

agree with dennis. ted has a replacement that uses a nylon strip with studs imbedded in it. it fits the stainless trim like a champ. mike

Jack, did you replace the Hardtop stainless trim retainers yourself? If so, do you have any secrets to getting the retainers out and back in without distorting and/or damaging the stainless?

I am getting ready to replace the lower retainers on a '62 Hardtop, plus a couple of the T bolts on the other pieces that need to be replaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
