Hello,
I have to postpone my seasons opening
here in Germany.
I wanted to change my fuel filter on my '65 300hp. Unfortunately the brass female fittings mounted on the filter directly didn't come loose easily. I had to apply some force. After removing them I discovered that the fittings are bent at the orifice of the inlet thread.
Now I want to order them and have some questions:
I don't know a source for the fittings to order without the fuel lines here in/from Germany.
Corvette America offers Fuel lines from pump to carb made of tinned bundy weld steel. Firstly, TBW is the original style, isn't it?
Does anybody know if the brass fittings to be mounted on the fuel filter and carb directly come also with the lines?
These fittings seem to require cautious handling when (de)installing in order to avoid bending. Is there a trick when they're very tightly mounted?
Regards
Oliver
