61/62 frame exhaust hangers mount locations

Does anyone have access to a 61/62 frame without a body on it? I need some measurements for the exhaust hangers on the top crossmember where the shocks are mounted.

It looks like the top of the mounts have a slot where the top end of the exhaust mount goes into the top crossmember where the shocks are mounted. I am not sure where the slot has to go nor the bolt to mount the exhaust. The aim and noland's book does not give enough information. I am assuming there is a hole where the exhaust top mount slips into the crossmember and not an indentation.

I am using a 60 frame on my car.

Jim my body is still on my '62, but I took a look and have some pictures attached that might be of help. The best news is that the holes are round, and in the picture of the pass side, you can see a hole in the top of the crosspiece that lines up directly with the holes in the crossbar. Hope these help, the pass side picture is of an original setup, including the original bolt. The drivers picture is a "dofur" setup, but it clearly shows the top hole as round, and the location appears to be about one hole diameter down from the top. Hope they help, off a car with S/N in the early 1400's

This helps! Could you measure where the holes need to go on the crossmember from the center of the crossmember to the frame rail? I am thinking I need to wait until the motor is in so I can gauge where to drill the holes. Also, I need to do the same thing for the side mounts too. I think I have a good picture where the side mounts are located. I do not see the holes on top of the crossmembers.

Jim the exhaut and other stuff is in the way to get the dimension to the rails, but they appear to be centered, and if it would help I think I can get you the center to center of the holes. Let me know if that will work.

I just found a top shot of a 61 frame in the MIRA_vehicle_analyse book. It has a picture where I can reference the locations of the exhaust side to side. I should be okay with putting the holes where they need to go using the pictures you provided also.

            THANKS!

I have some pictures of the work. Hopefully, the holes are at the correct places.
