    Fuel lines

Changing the frame fuel lines (70 L46) is their any difference between vendors or are they all selling the same lines.

    Re: Fuel lines

Bob there is a difference the best thing that you can do is if you have your old fuel line out. Take it with you to a good car/corvette parts swap meet that way you can have both lines next to each other because they can make errors when manufacturing the lines. Or if you have a line manufacture near you walk in with your old line or lines and a good shop will make them while you wait and will use yours as a guide. If they ship your lines because of the length they will have to bend them in half for shipping so its always better to pick them up your self. Paul 18046

Bob, Bought both the fuel supply line and the return line from Zip. Yes they do come bent in half, but you don't have to be a brain surgeon to straighten them out. They were bent properly in all the correct area's, you may have to "tweek" it in certain spots, but for the most part they were pretty much dead on.

        Re: Fuel lines

I wondered about having fuel and brake lines shipped and thus bent. So I always bought them where I could carry them home. (Carlisle)
I needed a new cross-over brake line, ordered it from ZIP, and discovered they bent it in 2 places where line was straight and put a sticker at each location saying to straighten it out. It worked fine!

I understand from Richard Fortier that he has original fuel line tubing but as far as being pre-bent or if he bends them to order I don't know. He advertises in the Driveline. His email address is: richfortier@chartermi.net
