contact info needed for alum. reskinning

    Hi,

Does anyone have the contact information for Mr. McNish or any of the other reputable members who offer reskinning services? Thanks Mike Anderson (317)729-2418

      I highly recommend Don Dorfman

I don't know if this e-mail is still valid, but Don Dorfman does excellent work and I think he tends to be less expensive then some others.

Don restored my L79 intake about 5 years ago and it came out looking like NOS.

I understand that Ken Hansen (Orindales in Medina, TN) is now set up to do this work. 731-783-0815.

I have had great results with Jerry MacNeish's work.

However, I've also had great work from fellow NCRS member Fred Hudson (advertises in The Driveline) phone (405) 942-2729

I haven't used John, but also have heard of excellent work by fellow member John DeGregory. I don't know if John does intake manifolds, but you might check. (also in The Driveline)

There's probably more good sources, but you can't go wrong with these three.

Thanks to everyone for their quick responses. Hopefully this will help myself and a friend of mine with some reskinning we need done.
            Later Mike

              Michael,

After restoring almost everything on my 66 I feel I can speak with some authority about Vendors and Restorers.

I have had pieces out for months and months , and have called some Guys 20 times! I have recieved some items back in perfect condition and others were sent out again! None were ever in the time stated beforehand .

I do not know the other people mentioned, nor have I ever used them, so they may be great! I just feel that a good guy ,doing a good job , and doing it when he says he will ,should be rewarded as it is so rare nowadays.

I do know that I used Jerry for my Intake and Valve covers. I called him on the phone prior to sending them and spoke with him at length (nice guy)who actually answers the phone !. Once he convinced me he was alright, I sent my parts. As is my habit ,I was going to call him in a few weeks to check on the progress and remind him that he had quoted a week or so.

It never happened! I recieved them back in the mail a week to the day he recieved them ! They looked perefect !

I did wind up calling him again, but it was just to say thanks and compliment him on his work and turn around time ! Unless something has happened in the last six months or so you can't go wrong with Jerry !

              Jmtcw,

              Jim Schwering
