C1 engine differences for 2004R swap

I am putting a 2004R in my '61 230hp pg. I need some type of adapter for it. What is the difference in the back of the engine and pg mounting styles from the '61 and earlier engines vs '62 and newer with aluminum pg? I am interested in the flex plate, starter and its mounting, and the adapter on the '62 (if any) compared to the '61. My '61 adapter appears to be basically for installing the starter. Any difference in length of input shafts or where the starter engages the flex plate? Are they both same tooth count?

    Thanks

Biggest two differences are the later trans mounts to the block, no intermediate plate is used, If you use the complete setup from the later engine, flywheel, torque converter and trans the only issue would be if the block is drilled and tapped for the block mount starter. I'm not sufficiently versed in the 293 blocks to have that knowledge.
