Want to build a body dolly "55"

Does anyone have any information, diagrams, prints, etc, for building a dolly to hold the body while it's off the frame? 53-55 style body.
Also once built, would it adapt to any C1 body.

There is info posted on several threads for this, do an archive search. Noland's book also has specs on this. The body lift book.

I built mine from scratch, took body mount bolt hole measurements and went from there.No plans. Be sure to support the front end under the radiator area... Easy afternoon project. Get larger wheels for easy rolling.

agree with mike. made one years ago and have used it on a couple 57's, 61 and 55. built it out of 2 x 4's. large casters very good advice. mike

Make sure the rear is supported, especially during body removal or drop. Otherwise, you'll most likely crack it in the rear of the door jamb, at the mating line of the upper and lower panels.
