Pinch welt cap hardware on 1963 Coupe

I am looking for information on the correct hardware to mount my pinch welt caps. My coupe is 149xx and has the two hole caps with the coresponding two holes in the door. The plating would be good to know also. Thanks in advance for the expert opinions. Paul

    Hi Paul
The JG states that beginning with Early to Mid '63 production the stainless cap was used, secured with two very thin head design chrome phillips screws, typlically all painted body color. There are original examples of the lower screw being unpainted.

Paul, Here are the caps and screws on my November built 63 coupe. I am 99% sure the screws are correct, I am still looking for one.

Thank you Tim. Nice looking door and side of car. It looks very clean. I like white also as my 71 is Classic white. Regards. Paul

Mike, I have read your post twice. My 9900 car never had the stainless pinch welt caps painted. Now the manual says typically all the pinch welt was painted body color.
Are you saying the caps should be painted also? When my 63 was judged I didn't get any deducts for non painted SS caps. Thanks, JD
