L-88 Corvette book on R&T Radio this Saturday

Road and Track magazine asked me to be on their radio show this Saturday April 4th. Apparently, the host has a copy of my L-88 Corvette book and really likes it.

You can tune into this radio show by going to www.radioamerica.org Once you are there, click on the Listen Live button on the lower right hand corner. When you get to the next page click on Radio America Main Feed. Another window will open up and you can hear the show.

I'm scheduled to be on the air at 5 PM eastern, 4 PM central and 2 PM west coast time.

I will try to plug the NCRS during the show.

This radio show will be broadcasted on over 50 radio stations around the country live as well as on the Internet.

    Please tune in!

I forgot to mention that I will plug the NCRS when I'm on the air as well.

Re: L-88 Corvette book on R&T Radio this Saturday

Tom, All they told me was that it is broadcast on over 50 radio stations and on the Internet. www.radioamerica.org works like AOL radio. A couple of smaller windows open up and you have to click on the listen live link or button and then click on the Radio America Main Feed link on the next page. Within a few seconds the audio feed opens and you can hear the show.

I will be on the phone with them at 4 PM central and I'm not sure if it is a live feed or if it's tape delayed one hour. The schedule for Road & Track speed radio says it's on an hour later.

This is my very first radio show with very little notice, so I don't know what to expect.

Please try to listen in if you can.

I was really nervous. I was ready for the questions about the book, but they caught me off guard when they asked me detailed questions about regular production counts. I didn't have my cheatsheet handy!

It was hard to talk to the general car guy that had absolutely no idea what an L-88 was, or how difficult it was to get all the information to do the book.

I started on this project back in 1994, and used whatever spare time I had after my responsibilities as a husband,dad,boss,dentist,friend,etc....

Finding the photographers and getting them to print photos for me took years with a couple of them. The other caller on the radio didn't understand that.

Oh Well, I'll be better prepared next time with objections and distractions!

Just found the taped broadcast if you missed it.
Just click on this link and it should take you to the page where you can hear it: http://www.mefeedia.com/entry/april-...our-2/16502228

This was my first radio gig, and I apologize for being caught off guard about the most popular engine in the 67-69 model years. Can someone post an answer??

Looking forward to seeing many of you at Bloomington Gold!

Thanks for the reply and the info Tom! Wasn't sure on that one. I only looked at and purchased 427 Corvettes for years before considering a small block powered Corvette.
