72 Air Dam Push-in Fastener Removal

I going to replace the air dam hood to radiator support seal on my 72 due to it crumbling away and was wondering how to get the two push-in fasteners out of the radiator support. Pulling on them by hand won't do it.
Any suggestions?

Bryan,
If they are the same as my 71 you can use a needle nose pliers. You are not saving the air dam so you can either cut it away or lift it where it contacts the radiator support.You can now see to grip it at the edges and squeeze it together. The tangs should then lift through the hole. Good luck!

Note: if you're careful when removing the fasteners and don't damage the tangs, you can re-use them without problems. I bought new ones, just in case, however, ended up not needing them.
