    1970-1972 antenna ball and base finish

    I have seen several 1970-1972 antenna mast balls (.30") that are pewter in color. Were they originally flash chromed when new? Were the bottoms of the masts a low gloss chrome? Are the shafts natural stainless steel?

      My 72 Coupe The Ball And Lower Mast Are Chrome, But After 35+ Years The Chrome Does Fade, Mine Is The Same As Yours, THE SHAFT IS STAINLESS..
