    67 Carb Bolts

On a 67 3x2 setup the left rear of the front and center carbs are attached with bolt # 122017. I know they are a 5/16 thread but need to know the rest - head, length etc. Thanks

    Re: 67 Carb Bolts

    Steve,

If you check the part # it is the same as tha top alternator adjusting bolt. Which is 5/16-18 x 1" grade 2 (but many mid years had a grade 5 bolt for this application). Now what was put on most cars was a mix of bolts. I just finished a 67 435 last august that was untouched and it had 2 1" WB bolts from the factory one was grade 2 and one was grade 5. I have also seen 7/8" and even 3/4" bolts used here. But your safest bet would be to use atleast a 7/8" bolt so it won't strip out the intake. Headmarking could be UR, TR, SBC, RSC, C, A, NAT, WB and many others.
