After completing my first L-88 Corvette racing book, I am now starting a second book project that concentrates on high performance street driven Chevrolets and Corvettes.

This book will contain a wide variety of Chevrolet models such as COPOs, Corvettes, and other low production hi-performance Chevrolet models.
I am planning to make this book smaller than my first one which was over 400 pages. My goal for this second book is around 120 pages.
This should bring the cost down to around $35.00 retail price for a full color hardbound book.

Would you like to have your car photographed for this book??

Here is a list of high performance Chevrolet models that I am in search of:

    1957 Black Widow Chevrolet
    1957 Fuelie Corvette
    1960 Le Mans Corvette
    1963 Z06
    1963 Z/11 Impala
    1965 396 Corvette
    1965 Z/16 Chevelle
    1967 L-88 Corvette
    1967 Z/28 Camaro
    1967,1968 Yenko Camaro
    1968 L-88 Corvette
    1968 COPO Nova
    1969 COPO Camaro
    1969 COPO Chevelle
    1969 Z/28 JL-8 Camaro
    1969 L-88 Corvette
    1970 LS-6 Chevelle SS454
    1970 ZR-1 Corvette
    1971 LS-6 Corvette
    1972 LT-1 Corvette
    1974 454 Corvette
    1975-77 Greenwood Sebring GT Corvette
    1978 Greenwood Turbo Corvette
    1978 Silver Anniversary Corvette
    1978 Indy Pace Car Corvette
    1987 Callaway Corvette
1990-91 Hi-Speed Callaway (Optional Body Panels)
    1990 ZR-1
    1996 Corvette Grand Sport
    C5 Z06 Corvette
    C6 Z06
    2009 ZR-1

This is just a tentative list, but it covers all the heavy hitters. Honorable mentions will be seriously considered, such as Showroom Stock Corvettes and other very low production models.

I will be photographing cars in May, June and July 2009. Arrangements can be made for photo shoots at Bloomington Gold in June. Cities such as Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Kansas City, Minneapolis, and other Midwestern areas will receive the primary attention first. Locations more distant from the Midwest will be secondary.

If you have one of these models and would like to be considered for inclusion into this book, please write me back with the following information:

    Year and Model,
    Your Name,
    Address and Location,
and which weekends would be most convenient for having your car photographed.

I am going to try to use the Memorial Day Weekend for my first batch of photos.

I would think the difference between a same equipped 71 LT-1 and 72 LT-1 would be the driver.

            Tom,

I've never seen a '64 convertible Z06 before. Several years ago, some guy in Iowa was selling the parts from his '64 Z06. By the time I got there, the car and the parts were gone! The seller didn't seem to care too much that I just drove over 3 hours one way to get there after just talking to him that morning.

Can you ask your buddy if he would be interested in having his car included?

            Thanks!

There is no such thing as a '''64 Z-06", but all the components that made up the early and late '63 Z-06 Special Performance Equipment Package were unbundled and available separately in 1964.

I still think a 57 Airbox car would be more "hi-perf" material than just a 57 FI car.

                        Mr. Orwell's Observation

I find myself being fascinated by the fact that I have seen _______s of questions posted on this Board asking for like information that have been greeted with a snarling reply that this is a Technical ONLY Board and the offending posting being immediately deleted.
Pete, if there is a "secret handshake" that gets you clearance, why not hold off on the book and sell a seminar to the rest of us in the "Great Unwashed" - Hell, we can't even find out what happened at the March Board meeting a month ago, except for the rumor that two Team Leaders resigned rather than comply with some new rule........

Yes Duke is correct, not a RPO ZO6, But it has all the parts from the factory as it rolled off the line from GM, WITH ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER !!
Silver blue with black guts, of the 29 built he has the only convertible made.
I think they only made one 63 Convertible ZO6 ??

I feel more comfortable doing a book or a DVD rather than standing in front of a crowd doing a speech or a seminar.

Besides, I am enjoying meeting new people here at the NCRS.

As the rules stated at the top of the page: This site is reserved for technical and judging questions or issues related to the Restoration, Preservation, History and Enjoyment of the Corvette Automobile.

I appreciate all the comments and replies that I've received. This new book should be enjoyable to everyone.
