    Questions on door parts

    I have three questions with regard to door parts on a 69 convertible.

    1. The attached photos shows a door jam wedge that is to be attached to the door. My question is how is it attached to the car? Rivets? Screws? I put screws in the holes but the head of the screw extends above the surface of the wedge. http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...2/IMG_2503.jpg

    2. On the body side of the door just below the inside wedge, what are the two rivets for? Are they correct?

    3. The below photo shows a bracket that holds the switch to the fire wall for the wiper control. How was the bracket attached to the fire wall and are the screws correct that will hold the switch in place?

    Thanks Joe

    Re: Questions on door parts

    Joe;

    1) I'm not sure because your wedge is larger than mine. I have a 68 that uses two small screws to hold the wedge in place.

    2) The rivets look correct. They hold the fiberglass inner door jam to the steel support behind it.

    3) The support is held to the firewall by two screws (for 68)

      Joe,

      1. The wedges on my early 69' are held on with phillips screws.

      2. The rivets look correct.

      3. The switch screws look correct, the bracket is held on with 2 hex head screws.
