I love it when people come on here and stomp all over someone trying restore a car correctly with what they think is correct. Then never get an explaination of why what it is not correct.

Well, I am sorry, but its not. The hoods had very little if any paint or black out from the front support rail forward. There is no way to duplicate the shadowing of the radiator support and the hinges without doing them as the factory did them. That is, with the hood on the body first. You have paint all over the front of that hood and black too. Why did you pull the post and picture?

I am sorry that I don't live up to your idea of contributing to this hobby. I will crawl back into my cave.

Jim,

The Red hood is an original 67 blackout in the hinge area.

The Blue hood is my attempt at replicating the blackout in the hinge area on my 67

Thank you Jim, forgot about the script and did not see any small holes in the top part of the hood in the pic.-John
