paragon's parts are awful, anyone have a throttle cable thats original? I need one

The throttle cable on my 68 was nearly broken into ordered one from paragon it's way off, not that it's a big deal but I hate putting incorrect parts on it that don't match.

also there is a black plastic pieces that attaches the gas pedal to the floor noticed just a mine ago when I removed my gas pedal mine is cracked if anyone has one I'd be intrested in that too.

because I'm sure paragon's is not correct looks wise.

You're pretty new to the board--there is much in the archives--this is a technical board, not a parts wanted/for sale/trade board.
The rectangle toward the top of the tech board page every time you log on idicates that it is to be about TECHNICAL ISSUES.(caps in the rectangle)
You took Walt's post in an inappropriate direction--everyone was kind enough not to jump on you for that. The Driveline is for buy/sell/trade.

Two points..

I think the prior post was a reaction to your question as to where to get a "correct" cable.....

Second point, Paragon is an excellent source for reproduction parts... I probably have hundreds of different parts from them in both my cars . Most, but not all, are spot on. They, along with LI Corvette (for mid-year cars) make it possible for we all to bring our cars back to their prior glory...

Brandon, as Mike said The Driveline is a great place to look for parts and to ask members if they have the part(s) you want---and it is FREE! Most of us scour the pages each issue for a "find". It is a great resource. Good luck on your hunt.

i agree with the last post. they have been great. it took me 3 lower belts to find the right one for my fan/waterpump on my 66 427 (no ajustment) they were great and never made me feel stupid. the catologe is great just to verify or compare parts.

While I agree with this statement, I've often wondered why the NCRS website does not have another forum page for for such matters. I enjoy the Driveline, but wait 3 months between issues, no pictures, etc. It's kind of behind the times for todays marketplace. Right now I go to another popular oline forum or auction site to see what's new / available out there. Hope to see one on this website soon.

I was just thinking the same thing. To me, it's all about reaching the broadest target audience in the hope of selling your part quickly. It seems like having an online resource (also free) for that would be good. Corvetteforum has it. DigitalCorvettes has it. Heck, even our little local MN board has it.

Just my 2 cents. (0.01 cents, adjusted for upcoming inflation)

During your repair replace the clip that connects the cable to the pedal. They are a dime a dozen, hard as blazes to replace but your car is worthless when they fail.
