56 Crank Pulley and Harmonic Balancer

Does anyone have pictures of a 56 crank pulley and harmonic balancer? I'm trying to get a point of reference for my dual quad car. I'm guessing they aren't the same as a passenger car.

Also, is the balancer painted red and the pulley painted black (gloss or semi-gloss?) since they are a riveted together unit (I think)?

Also, does the 56 use the same two step water pump pulley as a 57? Gloss or semi-gloss? Just trying to wrap up my engine and missing a few components.

That's enough questions for now. I appreciate the help!

It's the same as the 55 corvette ,car55-56 riveted both pieces painted/ Water pump pulley same also not a two step painted semi-gloss (more gloss)

Clarification...balancer crank pulley painted red or black? I thought they were either red on the balancer and pulley or red on the balancer and black on the pulley, not all black on both. But I'm not sure.

Water pump pulley a two step design rather than a domed unit found on passenger cars? I know it's painted black...semi-gloss or gloss?

I believe the water pump pulley is a satin black, a semi-gloss+. On the gloss side of a semi-gloss. The balancer and pulley are rivited and painted red at the same time the motor is painted.

Thanks, John. So one more clarification....is the design of the water pump pulley the stepped two-level design with one or two belt grooves (like is sold as a reproduction from various vendors for a 57 and up dual quad motor) or the simple slightly sloped/domed one-groove design?

Depending on your serial # 56 used a straight fan same as the 55 Corvette! later were curved at the end.

Mark, this should show you what you need. This is a 98.8 BG, 3 time TF and Triple Crown car that I did a few years back.

I do have the straight blade fan (late 56) and the correct water pump pulley, if the ones you attached are correct. It looks like I also have the same balancer and crank pulley as shown in Jack's pictures. Sound like good news. Thanks for the help. Mark
