    Grill Plate

    Are the plates (part # 3743617) that hold the grill teeth center bar assembly to the front bumbers on a 59 supposed to be flat or are there any kind of bends in them. In the 1959 Assembly manual sect 13 sheet 2, that plate seems to be flat. Mine are slightly bent, but I suspect that they have been damaged.

      they are flat, I wonder if some previous owner modified them in order to work with 61-62 front bumpers?

          If you tighten the plates on the studs to much they will bend.
          When new they are flat.

              Thanks for the replies. On closer examination, I think that the plates were customized by Crash.
              One other question that I forgot to ask. What kind of finish are they supposed to have?
