John Hinckley, that's a smoking ET. I believe it though, having driven an LS6 automatic. I was shocked how fast it accelerated and how hard it shifted.

Looks like he's spanking that Camaro good.

Terry, if you organize a "Road Trip" to Lincoln, save me a seat.

Weymouth gave Simpson in his '69 ZL-1 Camaro a hell of a run. They were virtually tied at the lights. Not bad for a 9: to 1 compression 454 vs a 12: to 1 compression 427.

I am pretty knowledgeable about these special cars, unfortunately I have no judging experience. I can tell you, there are several unique features in the engine bay that the TIM & JG does not address as they pertain only to a '71 LS6 Corvette. I have kept these differences pretty close to the heart, as I do not wish to have the LS6 Corvettes fall into the same problems that the L-88 crowd had to deal with. The recreating of these cars.

I would be interested to know if this car is included in the NCRS LS6 survey/registry.

            Warren,

I do not know if the car is in the registry or not. The current owner just finished restoring it and I beleive hasn't owned the car for too many years.

            Thanks,

            James West

I'll get the data for you Warren -- If I go. I have a couple of guys who have expressed a tentative interest in a Road Trip. Of course with the weather on the verge of changing we are all getting itchy to hit the road.

I know Nebraska, especially the Eastern side, is a ways for you -- but the best way to get judging experience is to go do it. Consider visiting some of your chapter meets, and of course I can help you at the Convention. Sign up for the Advanced Judging School(s).
