1971 Coupe Interior Quarter Panel Trim Question

Does anyone know of someone who could recover my ORIGINAL interior quarter panel trim pieces with the correct Dark Saddle vinyl ? Car is a '71 coupe. I just recieved a set from CA and they are horrible. They look good from the outside but chessy inside mounting work, they don't even fit properly. MY first thought was Al Knoch, I called them and they said that they could not do it. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

There has been listings on e-bay for original trim parts, but probably not the right color, you will probably have to re-paint to match, but original can be found. Also, check e-bay sellers stores, not auctions, corvette mack has been helpful in my search for c-3 parts and there are other corvette parts sellers. Steve

      Hi Doug,
What about the business called Just Dashes. I believe they can re-skin dash pads and door panels. Maybe they can help you. I believe they're in California.

        A couple of thoughts

        - dark saddle is a relatively common interior color. I suspect that used originals may be available.

        - consider checking local upholstery shops or restaurant seat repair shops

        - A company called EC Products (i.e. "Everything Corvette") "used to" make their own hard trim pieces. Many years ago I found them to be better than Corvette America, but I know nothing about their current sourcing. Consider contacting them. http://everythingcorvette.com/catalo...l%20Plates.pdf

Thank you Alan...Thank you Patrick.....I will check out both places and hopefully one or the other will work out. I have the seats out being done now by a very reputable place called Master's in Newton, NJ hopefully he might be able to do them too.

Hey Pat, that everything corvette site looks good. Have you or anyone else used their interior trim pieces?

I have a fewpieces that I purchased about 8-10 years ago that are set aside for my 71 Corvette. The pieces do look nice, but I know that back then the parts were US made. You might want to check them out by calling the company at this time and see if anything has changed. I did find them better than CA pieces, but a "few" of the CA pieces have been improved over the years. Apparently rear trim is not one of them.
