61 fuel gauge sender

Anyone know when the line on the fuel gauge sender changed from a brass fitting to a rubber hose? Looking for a date or an approximate serial #. THANKS, Mike

My very original '61, S/N 3608 has the brass connection, no rubber hose.

Mine, #4744, has the brass as well.

Early 61's used the brass fitting....late 61 & 62's used the rubber connection.

Thanks to you all that responded. We are almost up to the middle of 61 production with brass fittings. Any later car responses would be appreciated...Mike
