1957 Big Brake Scoops and backing Plates

Can someone look at their elephant ears and tell me what the size of the attaching holes are for the front elephant ear scoops.These are the holes, one each on the bottom of the bracket.

My guess is 5/16" course. BH acceptable. Call me tonight and I can check. Currently in airport at Orlando. Just attended Sebring. Corvette 1,2 in GT1, Only two cars in class. They will be going to GT2 later in year, lots of competetion in that class. Corvette Corral well done and well attended.

If you get a chance..please check the size of the hole opening at the bottom of each bracket end..that the bolt goes through.

Hope you had a good time at Sebring.

The bolts used are a 5/15-18 x 1/2" long. They had an indented hex head with an attached star washer. The hole in the front scoops for mounting was 11/32".

Paul..thanks..I bought a set of originals and the mounting holes were smaller than a repo set I have.

Now I need to actually measure both and see how they match the 11/32.
