    Idler Arm Bolt Finish

What is the correct finish on the Idler Arm bolts and nuts. I have my originals but couldnt tell what the finish was before I bead blasted them. I think the bolts were black oxide finish and the nuts zinc, is this correct?

Also, are the nuts crimped lock nuts? Mine are.

I believe the long bolts and nuts are the same as the ones used to attach the steering box to the frame, they have the blackish finish

The long bolt is as Craig describes; it's the same as the steering box-to-frame retaining bolts and is a black phosphate-finished, carriage bolt. The short upper bolt is a standard, trimmed (i.e. "non-indented) hex head bolt of zinc plated finish.

The nut is a stover-type, zinc plated lock nut.
