Jeff, that is awesome. If yours is anything like mine, and it is REALLY glued down to the tank, just leave it. After cleaning up and draining the fuel out of my tank, it is sitting in the basement up on a shelf. As much as I would like to have a display of the tank sticker, I think leaving it on the tank is a good deal because you aren't "doing something that you can't undo".

Nice pictures, I'd encourage you to get some more that are closer up of the detail of the options.

Jeff, that is great! We all wish for that, provided our cars had tank stickers. Jeff, how many miles are on the car, what kind of climate did it live in? Trying to get an idea of how well these things stand up.

My 67 has 62,000 actual miles on it now. 3 owner car with POP and old registrations back to 74. The car was sold new in Peoria IL and I live in macomb IL. It gets very snowy here so the car must not have been used in the winter much. The last owner bought it in 1980 with 50k miles.

Oh yeah, I cut the sticker off the tank leaving it attached to the metal so I can display the sticker with what's left of the tank and not carry around a stinky old gas tank.

Jeff, great find on the tank sticker. Hey, we are in the same area! I'm in Burlington, IA and yes, it does snow around here. Your car sounds great, are you doing a body-off?

Mine's a '66 vert 327-300hp. Trying to trace history now. I'm back to 1980 in Pontiac, MI.

Another option might be take plenty close digital pics of the T.Sticker Leave it attached to the full tank. Utilize the pics for display. The tank is an original piece of your car. Get a repo tank for driving and preseve the Historical/ Org. Tank. Just a thought.

That's what I'm doing, but it sounds like he already cut the tank.
