Re: Hey Mike Hanson-Remember this car?
Jake;
I used to be a regular at the Friday night cruise, worked in the Grove about six years and frequented the area often, but I never saw that Vette there. I also made the big mistake of having work done at D & M. Left a number of my parts there via their five finger discount.

Re: Hey Mike Hanson-Remember this car?
Tom;
If you are talking about me and my baby, yes. Right next to the grandstand where they play all that good 50's and 60's music. I should be able to get there again soon. Doc said two weeks, wife says two months. Have had a 10# restriction on me since my Heart Cath on the 5th; that's push, pull or lift. And having manual brakes and steering (adjusted to quick ratio), I just don't feel ready to get behind the wheel of my "Mack Truck" just yet.

P.s. How you getting along now. P.M. me or E-Mail if you want.- Top

Re: Hey Mike Hanson-Remember this car?
Stu--We would drive the Harley Earl car all over downtown Downers Grove, but that was in the late 70's and early 80's. The Friday night shows were held way after that. That still is a great show. We had some friends in from California, and went there one Friday night. They were floored to see the quality of the cars there. Being from California, they couldn't believe the size of that show. The night we attended, there was six 409's there---unbelieveable! The show now encompasses ALL of the downtown area, and all of the side streets for one block in each direction!- Top

Re: Hey Mike Hanson-Remember this car?
I thought we had the Bill Mitchell coupe, not the conv?? I remember that it had one piece side glass like a 68 without vent window assemblies.
If we had that conv., I sure don't remember it.- Top

You are right Sir! I asked Stretch, and he confirmed your observation! That was so long ago, I remember something special about that car. Do you remember the sequential lights in the door panel, the chrome metal floormats. Ah yes it is all coming back now!- Top

Re: Hey Mike Hanson-Remember this car?
The wheels/tires were installed just before going to Bloomington for sale.
If I remember correctly, it was a 350 or 365 HP with A/C and Powerglide? Weird combination that was never available.
Note the "one piece side glass" and no vent window assy.- Top

Jimmy Blakley - You have e-mail about Tom Swindell, Bob Kiefer and Joe Gwisdalia. See Watkins Glen photo below, probably from 1972 IMSA GT.
Don't think it was an L-88, but who knows?Attached Fileshttps://MichiganNCRS.org
