When The Frame Was Painted At Factory, Do Any Of The Bolts Get Painted? - Such As Lower Radiator Support Bolts And Washers, Rear Bumper Bracket Bolt And Nuts, Transmisson Crossmember Bolts ,are These Bolts And Nuts Judged For Correct Finishes? What Is The Normal Finish On The Undercarriage Bolts And Nuts? Thanks Ed

    Ed--
Sounds a bit like you haven't invested the $30 in the 70-72 judging manual that is available thorugh the NCRS store. That will answer your questions, and many more,as will checking the archives.
I personally would not even turn a wrench another quarter turn on your car until you have purchased and read the manual--it will/can save you thousands of dollars and bunches of hours in not making mistakes.
If your desire is to do a car as it was originally, and it appears that is the case, that's the only way to go.
I suspect that one of the reasons that your query went unanswered to this point is that it is very basic, and dealt with pretty clearly in the manual.

      Edward :

Mike gave you good advise on investing in the manual. There are many variations of finishes. Some were painted, some were not, some have overspray, etc. The manual will give you the most accepted finish for each nut and bolt you address.
