Mid America Door Panel Vapor Barrier????

Has anyone bought and installed the Mid America door panel vapor barrier in a C3. It appears from the pictures to be similar to the original 12 mil plastic. Just wondered how it looked after installation and if it would affect the judging points. Thanks Paul

Hi Paul,
The material looks quite a bit like the original.
The original was vacuum formed to match the contour of the inner door and clear the hardware. These barriers look flat.
Since you can only see a tiny bit of the perimeter of the barrier with the door panel in place the barrier may judge 'o.k.'. I would certainly think better than 'missing'.

They are not at all like the vapor barriers for a C3 car at least not a 72. The vapor in my 72 is contoured to fit around window crank housing and door mechanism rods. Mid America's product looks flat and made of a heaver gauge material. However, their product may sneek by judging.
