I appreciate your help. And if I need you i will be sure to ask. I did have one in Vineland a couple months back. I was up north for the hollidays so I called the dealer to make an appointmet to see the car. I went 2 hours out of my way and he was not there. Then his wife tells me to talk to him on the phone, he was busy watching the kids.Then to top it all off she tells me she can't find the paperwork for the car. Tom why would someone living in Florida come North in Dec., I keep hoping to move to Florida some day and have my shovel bronzed hanging over the mantle. Tomorrow the forecast is close to 70 degrees.
Sorry to hear about your trip to Vineland, I guess we all have been on a wild goose chase once or twice. You used the word dealer, was it Conte's Corvettes? If it was it is not like him to do that. Let's hope you make out better with one of the cars your looking at now. Good luck and let us know what you find.

We went up north to visit some family up there, but I won't do it again!
And yes it was Conte. I called him on the 2nd. of January, told where I was and about what time I would arrive at his place on Monday the 5th.I said that I thought I would be there between 1 and 1:30. I also said that if I ran into any problems on the way I would call him, I also asked him to do the same if there were a problem. Any to make a long story short I arrived at his showroom at 1:15. Can't get much better than that for timming.
We go in I ask for Joe, the wife tells me he's not there, home playing with the kids.She says call him if you want. I look at the car,not impressed with some of the body work, and a few other things.I was told he had paperwork, the wife can't find any.I was there to buy the car,I wanted to put it on a lift and really look it over.Oh well I learned my lesson and will never deal with him again!Comment

Tom, which 'vette were you interested in at Conte's. The reason that I ask is that I went there about 9 months ago with money in hand and was interested in the elkhart blue '67 vert. I wanted a 'vette with some paperwork and was told by Joe that he didn't have any for that 'vette. I then asked which C2s in the showroom had documentation and was told that none of them did, and that paperwork wasn't important. At that point Joe walked away, went into his office and left my wife and I standing alone in the showroom. He made both of us feel very uncomfortable, and after about 10 minutes of looking at the other 'vettes in the showroom, left and resolved never to visit again.Comment

It was the mosport green coupe. I will never go there again or recomend anyone to go there. I also felt very uncomfortable there as well as my wife.Something rotten in Denmark and it ain't de cheese!Comment
