I Found "4" on Passenger Side Floor - Job Number?

I am getting ready to install carpet in my 67 and after cleaning the front passenger side seating area, I could see this number "4" along with several swirl marks in the fiberglass. Could this be my job number??

Did you find the same number or any number on the passenger side footwell? If so and it is "4", then you have a job number..

Just a yellow "crayon" slash in the footwell, this is the only number that showed up. AO Smith body if that makes a difference.

When I took my carpet out for what I believe is the only time it has been out of the car, I didn't find any numbers on the floor pan like that.

I found numbers on the inside of the doors once I took the panels off, on the engine bay side of the passenger's footwell, and also on the gas tank side of the convertible top bulk head.

        St. Louis body here.

I found a yellow "14" on the dash bar behind my cluster, but we all decided that it wasn't the job number. Several other people had seen numbers in the same identical place. This is the first number I have found on the body.

              St Louis Body.
              White crayon.
"413" on each inner door, passenger floorpan engine side, and rear bulkhead.

Probably was one on the underside of the hood but was covered by blackout.......

So, what's the vote. Job number "4" or not. How were job numbers assigned? At what number did they roll over back to "1"? Thanks.
