I'm having a problem with the turn signals not cancelling on my 63. All of the cancelling mechanism parts (actuating ring, cancelling pawls, pawl spring, and the plastic cylinder thingy that mounts to the back of the steering wheel hub) are new, but I fear that I may have them assembled incorrectly.
My actuating ring assembly had the cancelling pawls mounted with the open ends facing out; it appears, according to the diagram in the shop manual, that the open ends should be mounted facing in, but for the life of me I could not figure out how to do that.
Does anyone have a picture that shows everything assembled to the actuating ring, including how the pawl spring hooks to the pawls?
Thanks in advance!
