Hi Henry and other mid year owners

Here is a pic of Original door stickers. Repops are not the same. I can't really remember but it has to do with the border and color...maybe something else.

Also is the foil sticker for the Rad. Repops I think have a heavier letters and not so fine. Also the extension of the sentence is off on the repops. But there is a difference.

Put these pics in your files and compare.

I just put my door stickers on a couple days ago so I'll take yours over and compare them. I got a replacement radiator from Dewitt's so I'll check the foil sticker they put on. Thanks again,

Grant,

I didn't get a chance to take those pictures yet, yesterday it got real nice here (in the high 70's) and a buddy called and wanted us to go cruisen. So we got the 03 out put the top down and remembered why we had it. Boy it sure was nice out. Anyway it's first on my list to take those pictures and e-mail them to you tomorrow.

This isn't a sticker, but it is a stamp. On 67 Holley carbs, there were some ink stamps. (see picture) Corvette Central sells a stamping kit for $17 that I'm going to be getting. It is part # 352001, and you have to specify which carb you have prior to ordering.

Please note that the carb in the picture is a 1973 model year service replacement, so the stamps might not be in the right spot, or of the correct variety. I'd suggest you check with your local chapter judging chairman to see what stamps are appropriate for 67 300 hp.





Also, here is a closeup picture of what I believe to be my original glovebox door decal.

Thanks Chris, I was just looking in the LIC catalog and noticed the carb stamp. I know there's at least one forum member that sells the stamps (alternator among others) for different years. There was a thread started a couple weeks about one he had on Ebay. What he sells are correct also. Shooter

I'm not too sure that the original production 67 carbs had those ink stamps on them. I know the later replacements had the stamps on them to make sure they had the right part in the right place.

Maybe there is someone out there, that knows for sure.

Thanks Jerry, I couldn't find anything in either the judging manual or Dobbins "Fact Book" about the stamps. As you said maybe someone that knows for sure will post.

The judging manual says nothing about an ink stamp on the 67 327/350 holley carb, but I asked around and it sounds like in judging at higher levels (regionals and nationals) that they look for it.
