door ajar@alarm switch removal for 72 vette

I put pentrating oil on and left it sit over night.when i start to loosen the switch the switch turns with the bracket that is pop rivet on with.the rivets look ok from the outside but i can hear the bracket turn with the switch.can i take the interior panel off to see the switch from behind.if so can i drill the two pop rivets out and push the switch in through the fiberglass hole.Thanks Bill

Hi Bill,
I believe your best access is through the small access panel in the front of each rear wheel well. I believe you can get some access from the interior but you'd be reaching down from higher up on the lock pillar.
