I would value your opinions on what my 67 is worth since I just bought a replacement, but I don't know if that's permitted.

Are 'What's it worth" threads allowed?
Larry,
There have been such posts in the past, but speaking for myself I'd rather see nuts and bolts technical discussion rather than dollars and cents speculation, since the latter tends to be rather less useful for DB viewers as a whole.

My opinion on valuation threads is that they are tough to do correctly. There are SO many details on these cars where if you have a few key details that are wrong (like a rotting birdcage, but don't see it), that swings the value of the car by a LOT (50% or more).
You almost need to get a Corvette expert out to look at the car with you to make that assessment.
Just my humble opinion.Chris Enstrom

Larry:
Other than Driveline, you can try usedcorvettesforsale.com, vettefinders.com, corvetteblogger.com, and holtautosales.com, as well as several others if you do a web search. However, the best that you'll be able to do is find a range, since you have to see the cars to actually compare and assess the value.

Re: Are 'What's it worth" threads allowed?
Larry - I primarily use this site for most of my info but I did join another site called Vetteheads and they have a "what's this wreck worth" forum. This was really helpful in deciding wether to buy a 64 or a 65. I just picked up the 65 today.
Thanks,

Look here. See what it is valued at and then calculate what needs to make it correct and operate properly and deduct that from the value or price....Don

Re: Are 'What's it worth" threads allowed?
Larry;
Don's link has a pleasant surprise, not so much the NADA estimate but a direct link to Autotrader.com. I wasn't aware that Autotrader had vintage Corvette listings.
I use NADA (black and blue books) to price the late model cars I sell. I print out the Kelly Blue Book estimate to put on the window because it's usually higher. As good as NADA is, motorcycles and classic cars are a crap shoot when trying to price it through them. However, They seemed to be in the correct range when I plugged my 64 in.
