    REPO/NO factory SN TAG/TRIM

    I have been reading the thoughts on ID tag #'S here & on the CF. Big pi**in match on about a 53 Corvette that was was going to BG & then was for sale. A guy ask if it was a repo SN tag. He in turn ask if the second guy's Corvette had the original SN tag. Can NCRS tell if the C-1 Corvettes have the factory SN plate & does it matter? Is it not illegal to replace a ID tag without a written authorization from the police & the state?

    You can tell by checking the frame stamping. But that takes a bit of work.

      I was asking about replacement SN id tags. The early Corvettes had the tag attached with 2 screws to the front of the drivers door jam. Many were lost when the car was restored or repainted in the old days. seems no one wants to touch this one.

        All I will say is that there are some good repro C-1 tags.
