earliest red 1984

As the original owner of a red '84 I am trying to determine at what VIN the red cars began production. The first cars off the line were either white or silver, with the reds added a few weeks into production. My VIN is just under 5,000 and I'm curious as to what has been documented to be the lowest number red '84. (not like I'm suggesting that mine is, but rather to find where it falls in the whole scheme of things) Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Walter. Glad to know another 84 owner. My 84 is also red but the VIN is way later than yours. Does yours have the Bose Radio? If it does I would love to see a picture of the face of the radio if you have time.

Sorry for the late reply. I was at BG last weekend where my '84 was a part of the Special Collection. My '84 does have the Bose system. I'll try and get a good photo this week and post it.
