Bolt cleanup-Harbour freight pyramids

Anyone use the bowl vibrator and the small ceramic pyramids that Harbour freight sells for rust removal on bolts and small hardware?

Looks like the pyramids have sharp corners that can get right into the bottom of the threads. The instructions say that this is to minimize damage to the threads.

I've used similar ones from Eastwood.
Use a bit of water in the bottom of the bowl and it helps.

I have read where you should use a little dish liquid soap also with the water. I havent tried that one yet though. Might end uo like the time I used liquid dish soap in the dishwasher....Kitchen full of suds all over the floor.
