C2 4-speed reverse lockout spring size?

Can anyone tell me the length and diameter of the reverse lockout spring from a C-2 4-speed shifter?
I'm trying to put mine back together, and in my bucket of parts found a spring I think may be the one.

    Thanks,
    Steve

Or how about this... does the spring fit inside the hole in the handle, or go out around the outside of the handle?

    Thanks,
    Steve

Hmmm.... well that is definitely the size of the spring I have. The only thing is now I'm scratching my head because with that spring installed it did not seem to have enough travel in the "T" for the reverse lockout rod to clear the lockout pin in the shifter body. Must be something wrong that I'm not seeing. I'll give it another look.

Thank you very much for taking the time to check that for me!!

UPDATE! Figured out whats going on, the lockout rod was pulling out of the "T" so it was sitting too deep and causing it to not clear the pin when the handle was pulled up. We got'er now.

        Thanks again,
        Steve
