Original Air Cleaner AC Logo Missing - C1

Does anyone have an original 58-61 air cleaner base without the AC logo ?

Noland's C1 book on pg 274 shows an air cleaner base with the AC logo but mine and one on EBAY do not have it. Is it a deduct to not have the logo ?

The original is on the right in the attached picture and repro is on the left. I don't like the quality on the repro base so I am returning it.

Mark, the 58-60 JM 4th Edition Mechanical section #5 Air Cleaner Assembly in the 2nd paragraph - Carbureted Air Filter Element states; "AC Type 98C was used on both the single and dual four-barrel air cleaners, with service instructions stenciled in black (not a decal) located on the inside of the air cleaner base." My original is a 98C. Just no large AC logo.

I wonder if it's as simple as a previous owner scrubbing it off with a scouring pad.
