Nice finds dropping differential on 78

Of course I had seen this before (41J) but finally got a nice clear photo of it while dropping the differential to replace gasket. The 41 is the last two digits of the VIN but not sure what J signifies.

Pulling the cover caught the differential label and knew immediately what I had here. The 78 has 38k miles so still relatively nicely preserved but the OK is the 3.08 gear broadcode for an L48 M38 and reconciles with the OK printed on the buildsheet.

That's a nice clear mark. It's SO nice when you discover something you didn't expect!
