My 70 had SEMS indented hex head, pointed end, self-tapping screws with captured washer. That will probably work for your 72, but a different headstamp even on a 70 would not be surprising.

      Hi Edward,
The bolts on my 71's seat track mounts have an odd looking headmark.
Its a large capital B with a very small capital H in it's center. There are also 3 hash marks, 1 each at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. All 8 are the same.
      They don't have pointed ends.
So another possibility for you to look for.
      Regards,
      Alan

My 70 has anchor head marks with no point.

I have looked at a 70 and all have flat ends, no points or self tapping ends, captured washers (5/16" x 1" bolt), 1/2" hex. head, course thread, and appear to be the same type bolts, but a mix of markings like mentioned and other markings not mentioned unpainted natural finish. I am thinking they may not always be a matching set, more input may be needed. Steve

I agree based on my limited experience, but I think the bolts were gray phosphate plated, like the seat rails.

Alan, starting in 69 cars I have seen your B/H (not to be mistaken for the typical B&H) bolt.

"typical" 67-72 seat mount bolts are flat tip w/a flat washer

                  Hi Edward,
On my 71 the outer rear track bolt has a plate with a tapped hole riveted to the under body. I believe you can see it in this picture. I'd 'think' 72 would be the same?

                    Alan,
Ill Look This Weekend To See If Theres A Brackets Riveted To The Floor , Maybe Its Stripped Out On Both Sides, It Think Its Strange That Both Outter Bolts Would Be The Same.

                      Hi Edward,
The bolts and plates get pretty rusty in that location and the bolts are easy to twist off. Perhaps that's what happened in your car's past.
                      Regards,
                      Alan

The brackets are reproduced pretty nicely. I don't know if that interests you or not. The heli-coil is more straight forward.
