There is no part number stenciled or otherwise appearing on half shafts. I have seen part numbers stenciled on some driveshafts, but I don't know that all had them.

For 1971-75 there was only one driveshaft present in the Corvette plant for all applications. So, I would not think that they would have needed to be identified.

            Ed,

seeing as my car is from the first week of June 72, I doubt that they stopped adding the stencil.

Re: 72 Sm Block Drive Shaft

I have the stencil for my 71 driveshaft but not the paint. I don't really want to buy a whole can and pay shipping for the one stencil. Does anyone know where you can buy the yellow spray stencil ink or the color that would match it from a local paint or automotive store. Can you just use a particular shade of yellow?

              Thanks Paul
