I am looking at a late 69 car built Oct 69 my freind is thinking about buying the car. Everything seems to check out. My question is being that the 69 Corvettes had a extra 4 mos of production. The transmission is stamped P0R17B with the correct vin # . Since all of the other GM cars that were getting there transmissions from the Muncie plant were in the 1970 model year. Would this would be correct? Even though the judging manual states that the year should be the current model year for example
P0R17B would code out to be
P Muncie HD 4 Sp
0 1970 Model Year
R October
17 Date
B M-21
So any Corvette built after Mid Aug 69 or once they ran out of inventory would have a 0 for model year?
