Original Catalytic Conv. Part No's

The NCRS Judging Manual lists the 75,76 &77 Cat. Conv. part no's as 8998109, 6498393 & T78196 respectvely. The date code is Julian Date, Year, Prod Code?
I have two converters in my posession. One is for my 75 and the part no is T78191 and date code of 099 5 24. The other is part no T78190 and the date code is 291 8 55.

Date codes seem to reflect a 75 converter and a 78 Converter but the part no for the 75 doesn't jive with the listed 8998109 ?

Any help out there?

The 1975 catalytic converter was GM #8998109. The 1976-79 converter was GM #6498393.

The "T78190" is not a GM part number. I don't know what it represents.
