Hey folks,
I am redoing my Big brake car and only have one offset shock clamshell for it. My question is this - because of the offset (not centered like a regular clamshell) are there 2 separate clamshells (part #s) - one for a left and one for a right?
When I take the one clamshell I have and try it on each side, it definately doesn't line up correctly. on the Passenger side (the side the one I have was on the car) it relocates the shock towards the front of the car. on the other side, it locates it towards the back. My understanding of the need for the offset was because the HD shocks were thicker and needed to be offset for clearance issues.
Assuming there is a correct side - which way should the clamshell be "pushing" the shock (forward or backward)?
Thanks in advance!!
