    Chris
Great website and story on your progress. You are doing an exceptional job documenting the work. I really enjoyed reading each of the stories. Thanks for sharing.

Do you have any pics of the "before" state? I'd love to see what you're starting point was, if only to help build my confidence to start in on the same kind of project one of these days

    Great stuff.

    Thanks

      Before pictures? Not a problem.

Here's me coming home from the hospital IN THAT CAR, March 5th, 1974. (notice snow tires on the back of the 67 and the hardtop)

(sorry mom) Here's mom and me ready for the ride home. Car seat? Heck no, just drive careful dad.

"Driving lessons", me in 1975 sometime, not sure of exact date. Dad "supervising".

Here she is at a car show in 2001, unrestored.

      Another shot at the show.

Overall, the car was garaged for all of its life that my family has owned it (since 1973). I gotta believe that the first owner garaged it, so that means for a few years it might have sat outside in MN while being "just a car". Overall, the frame was pretty good, and the interior was great. The original lacquer paint was on it when it went into the paint shop during the restoration a little over a year ago. Everything on the car was original except for wear items, the rear leaf spring, the carb and the soft top.

Life is good. Thanks for asking. I love telling the story.

        Chris,
Great pictures and a great history. Will you be chronicling the paint and interior on the web site you did the frame? I'd love to follow along.

Just promise me one thing... when you get it finished you take your son, daughter (or someone else's) for lots of rides. These cars sure are special and we need to pass it on. Just like your folks did with you!

        Cheers

Mike, on the paint, yes it's already up there (look at earlier editions of Project Sting Ray). The paint chronicling starts with the story "Off to see the paint man" and goes through 5 stories and ends with "Dual homecomings".

This link should show all of the stories on one page.

I also intend to chronicle the rest of the restoration, all the way up to my Top Flight (and hopefully) and Duntov award.
