C2 Seat Back Scratches
Is there an effective way to remove scratches from C2 seat backs?

My '77 has scratches, also. I assume repainting is the only way, but with the texture on the backs I am not certain how to strip the paint without damage to the texture. Just painting over them minimizes the texture and probably the scratches will show through. 'Any ideas on how to strip the paint without damaging the texture???

I posted a similar question a few months ago - I have a 65 with the original black seat backs. I got alot of replys but all said not much could be done without changing the texture. I did purchase a set of repos. but the texture was not even close to the originals, when I tried to see how they would look on the car the screw holes would not even line up. I am staying with the originals - it's 6 of one or the other, deduction made on either originalty or condition. This is another one of those items that I fail to understand why the aftermarket companies can't seem to get them to look right.
