Re: Oil Pan 69 427
Im guessing the GM one would have the baffle in the bottom and the reinforced corners already installed. I have also seen them with the corner reinforcements shipped loose. It looks like the GM one from Dr. Rebuild is the one to go with.

Re: Oil Pan 69 427
I show the pan as still being available from GM. However, I'm sure they were Paragon's source, too, and if Paragon has discontinued them, that may mean that GM has, too.
As you note, the GM pan is very similar to the original 1965-74 Corvette oil pans. The internal baffling is the 70-74 style (which is the same as 65-69 except it's about 1/4" lower). This difference is basically indiscernable with the pan mounted on the engine.
The other difference is the pan lacks the corner reinforcements. No problem here, though, as the reinforcements are available in reproduction. While they were spot-welded on original pans, that was just a manufacturing convenience. The bolts will hold them on just fine and no one will ever know the difference. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
