There is not much on brake drums in the TIM/Judging Guide. Most replacement drums don't have the grove for the anti-chatter springs. Does the lack of info in the TIM indicate an acceptance of replacement parts in this area? My originals are out of spec but I guess I can save them for Judging and drive it with the replacements.

My replacements not only didn't have the grooves for the anti-chatter springs, but no knockouts for the star wheel adjusters either. Worse yet, I could never get them to adjust right as the shoes would not ride in the drum properly. It seemed as though there was a difference in the dimensional relationship between the hub surface to the backing plate (depth) of the drum. I finally had to re-cut my originals, which were w/i tolerance and use them.
