    1957 Master Cylinder

    Can anyone tell me the correct number for a brake master cylinder for a '57? Are they dated month/year? Thanks again in advance. Stan

      P/N is 5454480 located on the metal plug end of the cylinder.Casting # is 5456022 in equal sized letters on the driver side . Not dated.

          The early '57's used a #233, later cars used the small #022. I do not know when the transition took place.

          My mid October car had the 233. I also have an earl April car that has the 022.
