72 jack question

Was speaking with gentleman i bought car from during the holdiays. He owned the car since 72. Long story short.
I checked out the jack recently and it was dated H with backward 2. My trim tag is dated June 27th. He says he picked up in August at dealer. As far as he remembers he never put another jack in car, he admits his memory isnt the best these days. (He's 85) Not picking on older people here. LOL
wondering how would that be judged or am i better off trading off for one dated previous to june

Perhaps the dealer put one in from another car if the original was missing. Do you think anyone would have noticed that?

The backwards 2 sounds unusual. Any chance of a picture?

If you intend to have the car judged, you would be better off with a jack dated June or slightly before. On the other hand the date is only 20% of the jack originality points, and that assumes the jack is on a line item by itself.
